Senior AI Architecture Engineer
$300K+, depending on experience
AI Foundry supports one of the world’s largest conglomerates, leading their AI efforts from the ground up across finance, consumer, and retail verticals. We’re a small, sharp team designing and building multi-agent AI systems that will reshape how hundreds of millions of people interact with these products and services.
We’re looking for a senior engineer who lives at the intersection of architectural thinking and hands-on building. You understand how to design large-scale multi-agent AI systems—and you can prove it by writing code, not just drawing diagrams. You raise the technical bar for everyone around you, you stay on the bleeding edge of the field, and you thrive in the kind of ambiguity that comes with ground-floor work.
If you want to build AI systems at unprecedented scale with a team where your work directly impacts hundreds of millions of people, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Design, architect, and hands-on build large-scale multi-agent AI systems serving hundreds of millions of users
Hold global engineering teams to an ambitious technical bar—demonstrating architectural patterns through working code, not just documentation
Lead technical calls with overseas teams to review progress, present architectures, and provide guidance
Rapidly compose and scale multi-agent architectures using cutting-edge AI capabilities
Write code to prove concepts and demonstrate patterns—you won’t be writing production code constantly, but you need to be able and willing to build when it matters
Stay on the bleeding edge of AI development and continuously level up as the field evolves
Work across product, engineering, and executive stakeholders to translate technical capabilities into product direction
Ensure systems maintain sound design principles while pushing AI-native approaches
Travel to India 8+ times per year to work directly with engineering teams on the ground
Who You Are
Deep fluency with large multi-agent AI systems and agentic architectures—you understand how they work, how to compose them, how to scale them, and how to stay current as the field evolves
You know how to code and have built real systems at scale; you won’t need to code constantly in this role, but you’re capable and willing when it counts
Experience rapidly composing and scaling multi-agent architectures with a strong grasp of the components, guardrails, and best practices
Comfortable thinking big—you can hold ambitious visions for systems serving hundreds of millions of users and break them into buildable pieces
You hold a high bar and push teams toward excellence without being a know-it-all; you make others better
Hungry and scrappy—you figure things out, you don’t wait to be told, and you get energized by hard problems
AI-native in your approach: you use AI tools extensively in your own work and understand how to build AI-first systems
Strong communicator who can articulate technical concepts clearly and create documentation that guides teams across time zones
Demonstrated ability to rapidly skill up and stay on the cutting edge—this field moves fast, and you move with it
Able to sit in a room and confidently say “this is what I think is correct” when speaking to global leaders—while remaining collaborative and open to being wrong
Positive and solutions-oriented—you work around obstacles rather than dwell on them
Benefits & More
Competitive compensation ($300K+)
Medical and dental benefits
401K
Office space in Seattle with remote flexibility—we value quality candidates over location
Direct reporting to leadership with minimal bureaucracy
Small, sharp team culture that uses AI extensively in our own work
